Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Morgan Memorial Home in Savoy, with the Rev.

Terry Harter and Donald Walden officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Cemetery on Monday, Aug. 21, in Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Provena Covenant Hospice Care Program or the First United Methodist Church in Champaign. Mr. Robb was a professor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the School of Technical Careers. He received his bachelors degree at Baldwin Wallace College in 1 Berea, Ohio; his masters of education from Peabody College in Nashville, and his PhD from SIU. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Champaign.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was named Kiwanis of the Year in 1993 and 1994. He served on the CHASI Board, the board of trustees at the First United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the Wednesday Morning Men's Prayer Group, the American Red Cross and the SIU Credit Union Board. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, was a Scout Master and was named Scout of the Year. He was a Navy Air Force pilot and served in World War II.

He was born on April 5, 1925, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to Wilburt and Mary Evelyn (Robinson) Robb. He married Nancy Sanders on March 16, 1952, in Little Rock, Ark. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, James A. of Harrison, Eric of Tukwila, and Martin of Catlett, one daughter, Jennifer Owen of Oklahoma City, seven grandchildren; one and one sister, Dorothy McCartney of New Philadelphia.

His parents and one brother preceded him in death. Stanley Venoski HERRIN Stanley Venoski, 87, died at 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Holly Hills Room and Board in Marion. 3, Venoski Mr.

Venoski was born Aug. 1913, in Clifford, to John and Eva (Ukanis) Venoski. He married Frances J. Belossi on Oct. 25, 1939, in Herrin.

She died June 10, 1990. He was a welder for Zeigler Coal Company at the Lake Creek Shops for 45 years. He was a member of the Herrin Eagles and the United Mine Workers of America He was an avid long distance runner who ran 5k, 10k races and 26 mile marathons. He held a national record at the age of 65 for the 10k distance with a time of 43:41. He ran the St.

Louis Marathon at the age of 67 in 1981 in 3:38:37. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Bill Rea of Valier; son, Charles Venoski of Herrin; grandson and his wife, Stephen and Diana Rea of Valier; great-grandson, John Palmer Rea of Valier; step granddaughter, Gina Bubanovich of Poplar Bluff, brother and sister-in-law, John and Marie Venoski of Westmont; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bertha and Ferd Litsch of West Frankfort and Bea and Dick Wyeth of Springfield; special friend, Hilt of Murphysboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one nephew, John Venoski. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug.

19, at the JohnsonHughes Funeral Home in Herrin, with Msgr. Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will be at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at the Meredith-Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

19, 1906, in Williamson County, to Marion DeCalb and Mary Louisa (Violett) Borum. He married Helen V. Russell in October of 1928, she preceded him in death. Survivors include daughter, Frances J. Deaton of Marion; grandson and wife, Rusty and Shandie Deaton of Marion; granddaughter and husband, Tami and Rodney Mitchell of Huntsville, great-grandchildren, Colter Deaton and Alyssa Mitchell; cousin, Bob Violett of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Roy "Ernie" Deaton, brothers, Coy Borum, Virgil Borum and George W. Borum and sister, Pearl Borum Liller. Mr. Borum was a teacher early in his career in Williamson County, and later became an insurance agent for Farm Bureau Insurance and retired from Country Companies Insurance. He graduated from Southern Illinois University.

He was an elder member of the Ralls Grove Christian Church in Creal Springs, a lifetime member of the Marion Lions Club, a member of the Farm Bureau and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. He enjoyed cattle farming all his life and was best known for his love of family and the outdoors. Clarence L. Ridlen MARION Clarence L. Ridlen, 76, of Marion went to be with the Lord at 4:37 p.m.

Ridlen was born on April 27, 1924, in Williamson County to Herbert and Verna (Rector) Ridlen. He married Marylin Katherine Brooks, the daughter of Joe and Lucille Brooks, on March 21, 1957, in Williamson County. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Marylin Ridlen of Marion; daughters, Kathern Lee Ridlen-Collins and her husband Richard and Kelly LeeAnn Ridlen-Van and her husband, John, all of Marion; son and daughterin-law, Clarence LeRoy Buster and Vicky Ridlen of Creal Springs; 13 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Lucille Brooks of Pittsburg; and three foster sisters, Ella, Trudy and Jettie. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gerald, Billy and Bobby Ridlen. Mr.

Ridlen was a member and trustee of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church of Johnston City, which was founded by his parents in 1960. He farmed in this community his whole life. His children blessed him with 13 loving grandchildren for Clarence and Marylin to love and carry on the Ridlen name and family tradition. His children are grateful for his impact in their lives. He taught them that no matter what, God will always look over them and life will go on.

Although his body is not on this earth, he will always look down from the heavens to watch over his family. Charles Reminger NASHVILLE Charles M. "Bud" Reminger, 87, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, with Father Paul Wienhoff officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery.

4, 1914, in Zenith to Delbert and Nellie VanSickle Morris. He married Ginger Bradford on Aug. 1, 1938, in Benton, Ky. She survives of Carbondale. Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Donald Bowden of Paris, Tenn.

and Jane and Ross Franklin of Carbondale; seven grandchildren, Joe Stearns, Kathy Gryska, Kimberly Russell, Jeff Franklin, Kelley Carr, Chrisi Bonaccorsi, Tip Bowden; and 13 great-grandchildren. His parents, one brother, 4 Alvin Morris, and one sister, Fern Tackitt, preceded him in death. Virginia Mae Culver MARION Virginia Mae Culver, 78, of Marion, formerly of Johnston City, died at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at the family home.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1921, in Dalton, to Virgil and Ollie (Webb) Lovan. She married James Edward Culver on Oct. 3, 1942, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1997.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Don McChesney of Marion; sonin-law, Ray Goodwin of Orlando, four granddaughters, Donia and husband, Jerry Davis of Marion, Angela McChesney of Paducah, Courtney and husband, Bradley Fowers of Clarksville, and Brittany Goodwin of Orlando, one great-grandson, Kyle James Stout of Marion; one sister, Retha Hopkins of Madisonville, and one brother, Harold Lovan of Paducah. 21, 1918, in Herrin to Ray Pike and Gladys (Simmons) Pike. She married Luther Blakenship on Feb. 14, 1935, in rural Marion. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, JoAnn Ena of Whiting, Connie and Joe Wall of Marion, Barbara and Rich Brocker of Marion and Sue and Richard Kirkpatrick of Christopher; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four greatgreat-grandchildren; a fifth generation grandchild on the way; two sisters Maurine Semancik of Marion, Virginia Malroy of Pinole, Calif; and son-in-law, Michael Belcher Sr.

She survives of Pinckneyville. Mrs. Weeks was a member of the Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Ernie Weeks of West Frankfort; one son and daughterin-law, Glen and Alvis Weeks of West Frankfort; grandsons, Glen Weeks and wife, Zoe of Fort Worth, Texas, and Greg Weeks and wife, Kim of West Frankfort; great-grandsons, Christopher, Matthew, Kyle and Eliot Weeks; great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Weeks; and one brother, J.L. Dobreff and wife, Betty of Wayne, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her father, step father, John Dobreff, mother, two sisters and five brothers. Hammond 86, a.m. 17, at 2000, INA Dwight R. Hammond, 79, of Goreville, formerly of Ina, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at his home.

Mr. Hammond retired from Marion Federal Penitentiary as a counselor and was a member of the Ewing Masonic Lodge. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. He was also awarded the good conduct medal, the Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with one Silver Star and two Bronze Battle Stars, the Bronze Service Arrowhead, one Service Stripe and four Overseas Service Bars. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was born on March 13, 1921, in Franklin County to AlonZO H. and Maggie J. (McCollom) Hammond. He married Helen Webber on Nov. 20, 1945, in Mount Vernon.

She survives of Goreville. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Mindy Hammond of Goreville; two grandsons, Sean and Tina Hammond of Dongola and Jason Hammond of San Antonio, Texas; and three grandchildren, Michael, Kari and Dylan.
